Flora
Flora is in Newport, Wales. Our sweet girl who has been having some training and confidence building, is ready to look for her happily ever after. She is a shy girl until she gets to know you. Flora needs a quiet home with perhaps a retired person or couple to be with her for company. A volunteer takes her walking every day and she has regained her confidence enormously. In a new place, the person needs to be patient and let her warm to them at her pace. Flora will love you forever once she knows you. She is good with other dogs, but also would be ok without a dog in the home. She would like her own human to bond with. This is most important for Flora. She is about 16 months old, fully vaccinated, blood tested, microchipped and will be spayed.
Gina
Gina is in County Durham. A medium size girl who is from the Gandalf shelter. She was left near the shelter so Rodica rescued her and her siblings. She is in foster and they have been doing wonders with her and improving her confidence. Gina is a vibrant and loving dog whose journey is as heartwarming as her wagging tail. Once timid and unsure of the world around her, Gina came from a tough start that left her shy and withdrawn. But with patience, care, and a safe environment, she has blossomed into a playful, affectionate companion full of energy and joy. She now greets each day with a happy bark and a wag that could brighten anyone’s morning. Gina loves belly rubs, long walks, and curling up beside you after a day of fun. She’s dog & child friendly and is housetrained. She’s ready to share her big heart with a forever family who can give her the love she deserves. Gina is 10 months old, fully vaccinated, blood tested and microchipped.
Jax
Jax is in Sunderland and sadly is looking for a new family through no fault of his own. Jax is a very caring, loving dog who loves to cuddle up with you. He absolutely loves playing with children but is hyperactive so should be around older children only. Jax needs a home that can give him plenty of attention and cuddles along with long, daily walks to help burn the energy he has as he gets overstimulated. He can get extremely happy with visitors and jump at them for the first 5-10 mins of coming into the house. He does need some training and will make a lovely companion for someone. We are asking for just a small donation so someone can afford to take him to classes and give him a little education. Jax will sit and let other dogs walk past. He is friendly to them, but can get over excited. He is looking for someone who will give him plenty of exercise. Jax is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is 4 years old and has been in his home from a puppy.
Leo
Leo is in foster in Newport. He is a special boy who is incredibly nervous and looking for that special human. Leo is about a year and a half old. He has been in a kennel environment and lately, a kind lady took him home to work with him and his confidence. She has done wonders with him. He definitely needs other dogs. In the house, Leo is happy, housetrained, friendly with the other dogs but at this moment in time, he doesn’t like people to touch him when in the house. Outside, he loves to run and play. Leo has a lot of energy and adores the company of dogs. He will let you fuss him outside more. Leo will need a 6 foot fence as he has a spring in those long legs. He is looking for a forever foster or adopter who will give him the time and patience to let him build up his trust. He is not a dog for everyone, but he has plenty of love to give in time.
Millie
Millie is in Great Yarmouth and unfortunately, her owner is struggling with her health and we need to find Millie a foster or adoption. Admin Margaret went to see Millie and her current mum and dad. They had a walk and a lovely time together. Margaret says: “Millie is a beautiful girl. She is nervous, but I did get her to come over to me for a fuss. She was actually ok and didn’t really take too much notice of people walking past us. Just cowered slightly and watched them. I just kept speaking to her as they went past. I think with someone who can spend the time with her and perhaps slightly older people, she will really come into her own. I really think she can make someone a lovely companion. I think she needs taking back to basics again and retraining.” Millie is 5 years old, spayed and has been in her home from a pup. She likes her walks and is mostly good on a lead. She’s not had any official training but is a friendly girl and loves people although can be wary of strange men. Millie can be a bit clingy and she’s not left for long periods of time. She likes most dogs, but not all. She loves her food and is is a happy girl. Millie loves a ball and also has a hoop which is one of her favourite toys. She is a big fan of treats!
