Bella
Bella is in Colchester, Essex. She has had her life turned upside down due to a relationship separation. It’s not possible for her to stay with her family. She is 4.5 years old and has been in her home since she was 6 months old. She is very loving at home and a wonderful companion. She does have some issues to be aware of. When out on walks she can become afraid and reactive, mostly towards small dogs. She loves to be off lead and we suggest quiet areas for walking. In the home, she can be scared of visitors so she is put away behind a gate until visitors are in. She wears a muzzle for 5 or 10 minutes of meeting them and then she no longer needs the muzzle and is fine with them. She can live with other dogs, but we feel she would benefit from a committed person to devote time to her and make her feel secure and reassured. Her vaccinations are up to date and she is spayed.
Erin
Erin is in County Durham. She is from Raduati public shelter and her lovely foster wrote a lot for us about her as she absolutely adores her and wants her to find the best home possible: “If you are looking for a dog that has any respect whatsoever for your personal space, then keep scrolling. However, if you are looking for a dog that will adore you with their whole heart from the second they lay eyes on you, and attach themself to you with a love that is stronger than any Velcro, then Erin could be your new soulmate! Erin is around two years old and is incredibly sweet and loving. She likes nothing more than for you to hold her face, rub both her ears, and tell her she is beautiful while she stares into your eyes. She loves to be where you are, and will follow you from room to room. If you welcomed Erin into your home, you would never go to the toilet alone again! She likes to cuddle up to you when sitting on the sofa and be right next to you in bed. She will try to lick your face at every opportunity! Erin is toilet trained and you could set your watch by her tummy! She knows how to ask to go outside if she needs to. At the moment she is in a foster home with another dog, who she gets along with, but she is jealous when he receives any fuss and likes to push in. Resident dogs would need to be calm and understanding of this. She is also living with cats and chickens, who she largely just ignores but does chase if they run. Erin absolutely loves to have a cosy bed, and she lies in it all day next to her foster carer while she is at work. She is a perfect colleague for anyone who works from home. She does love to chew, but if she picks up something she shouldn’t have (slippers beware!) she can easily be redirected to something appropriate. She likes to do puzzles for kibble and use a snuffle mat, which keeps her occupied for ages. She has learned to sit for a treat and is working on ‘settle’ now. She has nice manners if you take her out to eat, and will sit or lie by your legs and not bother you. Erin has lots of energy and loves a good run around outside. She can go for miles and would be an ideal hiking partner. She travels really well in the car and is happy to jump in with the promise of going on an adventure. She’s a busy and fun little dog who loves to be part of the gang and involved in what her humans are doing. She’s currently likes to ‘help’ her foster carer with barn jobs, dashing from stable to stable and carrying things in her mouth. When she has been outside for a dash about she immediately settles when she is back in the house. When running around the farm where she is fostered, she does keep returning to check in, but has no firmly established recall yet. She is progressing well with walking confidently on the lead, but this will need continued calm and gentle work in her new home.” Erin is 1.5 years old, fully vaccinated, blood tested, spayed and microchipped.
Gina
Gina is in County Durham. A medium size girl who is from the Gandalf shelter. She was left near the shelter so Rodica rescued her and her siblings. She is in foster and they have been doing wonders with her and improving her confidence. Gina is a vibrant and loving dog whose journey is as heartwarming as her wagging tail. Once timid and unsure of the world around her, Gina came from a tough start that left her shy and withdrawn. But with patience, care, and a safe environment, she has blossomed into a playful, affectionate companion full of energy and joy. She now greets each day with a happy bark and a wag that could brighten anyone’s morning. Gina loves belly rubs, long walks, and curling up beside you after a day of fun. She’s dog & child friendly and is housetrained. She’s ready to share her big heart with a forever family who can give her the love she deserves. Gina is a year old, fully vaccinated, blood tested and microchipped. She will be spayed once the vet has been consulted regarding the best time as she’s just had hear season.
Jax
Jax is in Sunderland and sadly is looking for a new family through no fault of his own. Jax is a very caring, loving dog who loves to cuddle up with you. He absolutely loves playing with children but is hyperactive so should be around older children only. Jax needs a home that can give him plenty of attention and cuddles along with long, daily walks to help burn the energy he has as he gets overstimulated. He can get extremely happy with visitors and jump at them for the first 5-10 mins of coming into the house. He does need some training and will make a lovely companion for someone. We are asking for just a small donation so someone can afford to take him to classes and give him a little education. Jax will sit and let other dogs walk past. He is friendly to them, but can get over excited. He is looking for someone who will give him plenty of exercise. Jax is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is 4 years old and has been in his home from a puppy.
Leo
Leo is in foster in Newport. He is a special boy who is incredibly nervous and looking for that special human. Leo is about a year and a half old. He has been in a kennel environment and lately, a kind lady took him home to work with him and his confidence. She has done wonders with him. He definitely needs other dogs. In the house, Leo is happy, housetrained, friendly with the other dogs but at this moment in time, he doesn’t like people to touch him when in the house. Outside, he loves to run and play. Leo has a lot of energy and adores the company of dogs. He will let you fuss him outside more. Leo will need a 6 foot fence as he has a spring in those long legs. He is looking for a forever foster or adopter who will give him the time and patience to let him build up his trust. He is not a dog for everyone, but he has plenty of love to give in time.
Millie
Millie is in Great Yarmouth and unfortunately, her owner is struggling with her health and we need to find Millie a foster or adoption. Admin Margaret went to see Millie and her current mum and dad. They had a walk and a lovely time together. Margaret says: “Millie is a beautiful girl. She is nervous, but I did get her to come over to me for a fuss. She was actually ok and didn’t really take too much notice of people walking past us. Just cowered slightly and watched them. I just kept speaking to her as they went past. I think with someone who can spend the time with her and perhaps slightly older people, she will really come into her own. I really think she can make someone a lovely companion. I think she needs taking back to basics again and retraining.” Millie is 5 years old, spayed and has been in her home from a pup. She likes her walks and is mostly good on a lead. She’s not had any official training but is a friendly girl and loves people although can be wary of strange men. Millie can be a bit clingy and she’s not left for long periods of time. She likes most dogs, but not all. She loves her food and is is a happy girl. Millie loves a ball and also has a hoop which is one of her favourite toys. She is a big fan of treats!
