Bella
Bella is in Colchester, Essex. She has had her life turned upside down due to a relationship separation. It’s not possible for her to stay with her family. She is 4.5 years old and has been in her home since she was 6 months old. She is very loving at home and a wonderful companion. She does have some issues to be aware of. When out on walks she can become afraid and reactive, mostly towards small dogs. She loves to be off lead and we suggest quiet areas for walking. In the home, she can be scared of visitors so she is put away behind a gate until visitors are in. She wears a muzzle for 5 or 10 minutes of meeting them and then she no longer needs the muzzle and is fine with them. She can live with other dogs, but we feel she would benefit from a committed person to devote time to her and make her feel secure and reassured. Her vaccinations are up to date and she is spayed.
Chase
Chase is in Norfolk. Sadly, Chase is a UK owner surrender, but we are happy to help him. He is a chihuahua mix who is 6-8yrs. His owner died a couple of years ago so her daughter took him on, but she has health issues and feels she isn’t giving him enough. He’s a very active and busy dog who likes to play. He has seen the vet regarding his right back leg, which he holds up now and then. They were thinking it’s maybe arthritis and he can have You move or similar. He isn’t on any prescribed medication. Chase has a crate with the door open during the day so he can go in anytime he wants. He’s very friendly, been brought up with young children and is very good with them and other dogs. He loves being in the garden and when he arrived at our foster, he found the toy box straight away and loved playing. He doesn’t like cats. Chase is looking for someone who will offer him commitment as he’s had a lot of changes in the last few years. He outwardly takes everything in his stride. He is looking for an owner who will take him on walks and play with him. Chase is wormed and flea treated and he has been neutered. He isn’t vaccinated yet.
Jax
Jax is in Sunderland and sadly is looking for a new family through no fault of his own. Jax is a very caring, loving dog who loves to cuddle up with you. He absolutely loves playing with children but is hyperactive so should be around older children only. Jax needs a home that can give him plenty of attention and cuddles along with long, daily walks to help burn the energy he has as he gets overstimulated. He can get extremely happy with visitors and jump at them for the first 5-10 mins of coming into the house. He does need some training and will make a lovely companion for someone. We are asking for just a small donation so someone can afford to take him to classes and give him a little education. Jax will sit and let other dogs walk past. He is friendly to them, but can get over excited. He is looking for someone who will give him plenty of exercise. Jax is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is 4 years old and has been in his home from a puppy.
Leo
Leo is in foster in Newport. He is a special boy who is incredibly nervous and looking for that special human. Leo is about a year and a half old. He has been in a kennel environment and lately, a kind lady took him home to work with him and his confidence. She has done wonders with him. He definitely needs other dogs. In the house, Leo is happy, housetrained, friendly with the other dogs but at this moment in time, he doesn’t like people to touch him when in the house. Outside, he loves to run and play. Leo has a lot of energy and adores the company of dogs. He will let you fuss him outside more. Leo will need a 6 foot fence as he has a spring in those long legs. He is looking for a forever foster or adopter who will give him the time and patience to let him build up his trust. He is not a dog for everyone, but he has plenty of love to give in time.
Ruby
Ruby is in Norfolk. A UK dog who recently we were asked to help. Unfortunately, for personal reasons Ruby’s owner can’t keep her anymore. She is with her lovely foster who will be caring for her until she finds a new home. She is a poodle breed although to us, she’s a rescue. She is 9.5 years old and we want the home we find to definitely be her last. Ruby is very loving and affectionate and enjoys being a lap dog. She is also playful and active. She loves being out in the garden and gets excited when going out for a walk. She is super friendly and happy. She always has a waggy tail. Ruby has been suffering with a little separation anxiety and the person needs to continue building up her confidence in this area. She is so much better than she was. She would like another dog to keep her company, but not a multi dog household. She can get a little growly if another dog gets in her face. She can occasionally get jealous if she is on her fosters lap first and another dog wants to join. If you tell her no, she stops. It’s not a problem, but if you are afraid of a growl, maybe not for you. She is vaccinated, flea and worm treated. We will speak to her vet about spaying.
Ziggy
Ziggy is in Tamworth. Sadly, Ziggy is looking for a new home due to a marriage breakdown and through no fault of his own. He is a lovely boy, full of energy and likes being outside. He had an active life as you can see from his pictures. He lives with children and adores them. Ziggy is friendly to everyone, but underneath there can be a little anxiety. He is very family orientated and the recent changes have upset him. He snapped at the father/grandfather who he loves, which is very out of character. This happened when he was staying there. He likes his walks and he’s not receiving the attention that he’s used to. He has barked at the occasional man recently. We think feeling protective of his female owner. He is a loyal boy and very loving. Ziggy loves a ball. You can play with him all day. Given this, he also likes his sleep and home comforts. We know Ziggy very well before he was adopted and he likes security and routine. He will adore you once he’s part of your family. He is a spaniel mix. He is 4-5 years old, neutered, microchipped and we are just waiting on vaccinations paperwork.
